Can you guess what I am going to be for Halloween?

Mommy is working hard making costumes for Jack and I. She says I am going to be a chicken and that confuses me because I thought chicken was a food group? When she asks me if I know what a chicken is I respond "Eat?".....apparently before it shows up as bites on my plate it is a feathered bird that lives on a farm. Am I supposed to be excited about this? Next year I think I will pick something because my mom seems to be stuck on farm animals.

First Hair Cut

Aunt Lindsay, Mommy, Jack and Elmo all came with me to get my first haircut. We went to a place called Cool Cuts. I sat in a car and it had a little TV for me to watch the movie "cars" and the lady trimmed my hair in about 5 minutes - not even enough time for me to get scared or squeamish. I look a bit more polished. Just in time too because I have picture day at school this week!

Warm Fall Days

It could not be nicer outside. The leaves are all bright yellows and oranges and the temp reaches low 70s each day! Mommy and I played in the leaves and I am spending every last second outside.

Playing Quietly

On Saturday we had the house back to ourselves after a very nice visit from Yaya and Bopee. It was a great fall day - in the 70s - and Mommy had raked up some leaves for me to play with. So I stayed busy for almost an hour by myself outside doing very important work.

Open Arms

Tonight is Yaya & Beeba's last night. This is very sad news! So to show Yaya how much I will miss her I got a running start and ran full speed into her arms over and over again.

A week off from school!

This week I get a whole week off from school!!! Jack still has to go to school so I get Yaya and Beeba all to myself until Thursday when Mommy and Jack will be home. On Monday Yaya and Beeba strollered me all the way to Barns & Noble and I played with the choo choo trains and we brought home "The Little Engine that Could". AND we got ELMO!!!! Elmo is so fantastic and I carry him around like a baby and I pat his back the way Mommy pats Jack's back and I cover him with blankets and help him go to sleep and I share my crackers with him. Then on Tuesday Aunt Lindsay came with us to Red Rocks and I went on my very first hike. It was 4 miles long! Yaya and Aunt Lindsay took turns carrying me in the back back. I loved it in there and I tickled their necks as they hiked. I wonder what we will do Wednesday!!!!

Very Busy Bee

This weekend I was very busy. I had a play date with my school friend Olivia at the park. It was really fun to see her outside of school. We played well together until she snatched my pumpkin that YaYa got me - I named it "Claire's Pumpkin" NOT Claire and OLIVIA's pumpkin.

I also went to the playground with Yaya and Beeba. We took my pumpkin and sent it down the slide and I died laughing each time. We did it again and again. Then Beeba and I found these red berries that we buried in th sand and then dug them up and then buried and then dug them up...and Beeba showed me how you can color on crocs because they are plastic. So I colored on Beeba's shoes with chalk and then on my shoes. And Mommy colored hearts on my crocs with crayon...so now my crocs are very cool and colorful.

YaYa & Bopee

Look at this fun Hop Scotch that Yaya & Beeba brought me!!! It is so fun and has a lady bug on it. YaYa and I are besties already and Bopee sure is trying. He has this little man that lives in his fingers and I am not sure how I feel about that. Bopee is going to work with Daddy so each morning I announce "Daddy WORK and Bopee WORK". While they were working Yaya, Aunt Lindsay and I went to the zoo. Uncle Dylan comes over every night now while they are visiting and I give him hugs and kisses and high fives. Not all at once! It is nice to have Aunt Lindsay over each day too, what a treat! Also I visited my old nursery school and saw Jenny. Mommy explained that we were going where I was when I was a baby and sure enough they still had my picture up in the infant room. I warmed right up to Jenny and gave her hugs and kisses. I hadn't  seen her in 6 months! It really made her day and I will go back soon to visit again.

Learning my colors and testing Daddy's patience.

YaYa and Beeba have just arrived for their visit! But more on that later....Daddy and I have been practicing for months now learning our colors. He gives me a color and I put the card in the right pile. I am a pro now at colors. Purple was one of the first ones I got, but now I know white, red, green, blue, and yellow and sometimes orange. You may also notice the block tower that Daddy built. He is very good at building towers with blocks and he spends a lot of time making them. They are so tall and vulnerable looking. He looks at me sternly and says "Do not touch, this is Daddy's tower". And I am supposed to play with different blocks and leave his alone. But I just can't. I can't. I can't. I try hard for a few seconds but that is the longest I can last before I just have to knock them over. Daddy gets really mad, not even this is kindof funny mad, but actually mad. I got a time out for not listening. Speaking of time outs, I have been getting quite a few of them lately. For coloring on Jack or standing on Jack or coloring on the floor or hitting or biting....I have found lots of ways to earn a time out. I kind of like it. When I hit I immediately know that I did something naughty so I say  "SIT?" and then I run to my spot. Then Mommy explains why I am there and at the end I say "Soweey" and I give a hug. Mommy and Daddy discovered I was enjoying time out a bit too much so the last time I was put up in my crib instead. And MAN did I not like that one bit and I screamed the whole time. Mommy and Daddy seemed satisfied.
