Quiet Time

I really like stories. My favorite story is "Big Red Barn" followed closely by "Jamberry" and "That's Not My Monster". We get to read two stories before bed, sometimes I like to just read "Big Red Barn" twice! I can turn the pages by myself. After we read stories I get tucked into bed with my two lovies and my blanket and I almost always go right to sleep without making another peep. What a good girl I am.

Splish Splash

I take a bath every evening before bed. It is my favorite time. I can play in there for hours!!!! I wonder when that enthusiasm ends?

Being My Silly Self

I have a thousand silly faces and really know how to ham it up when there is a camera around. I like to talk on the phone like Mommy and Daddy. In fact my first word was "HI". Followed very closely by "NO". And if you count "mmmmm" as a word I say that too when I am eating something I like.

Aquarium!

Aunt Molly and Aunt Lindsay took me to the Aquarium! I saw lots of fish and stingrays, but my favorite animal was the parrot!! He was bright and loud like me! I like fish - did I tell you that Daddy bought me a fish tank and my very own fish for our house??? We got a bright orange goldfish, we named him Poo. And we were going to get a second fish and name it Piglet. But Poo died after a couple weeks because we cleaned the tank and forgot to ease Poo back into his new environment and the new water caused him to die of shock. I don't realize that Poo is dead. I am sure we will get a new Poo at some point and maybe if we take better care of him we will get a Piglet. We shall see.

Meal Time!

There have been lots of changes in my eating habits! I grew out of bottles and now I just drink milk! I am a very hungry hippo and can eat every couple hours. And I will eat ANYTHING!!! I eat raw onion, will suck on a lemon and maybe the only thing so far that I do not like are jalapenos. I have tried many new things: egg salad, mussels, fish, corn chowder, lima beans, pb&j, fish sticks, meats, fruits, veggies and pastas of every variety....I cant even think of everything! mmmmmmm

Girl Time!

Aunt Mollie came to visit for a week and it was a lot of fun to spend so much time with her. During the week she was here I learned to walk, give out kisses, sign "more" and I am sure there are other things I forgot. She took very good care of me! I wasn't feeling well for part of her stay so I was really lucky that I could stay home from daycare and have so much attention. Aunt Lindsay spent lots of time with us so I was spoiled rotten with love and kisses. It was freezing cold and snowy but we had a couple nice days....this day we went to the playground. I love the slides and am positive that I am a daredevil. I think I will really like roller coasters. I just need to grow tall enough to try them out.

Airing Out My Rash!

Mommy and Daddy were bad parents because I got a very bad rash and they didn't get the proper cream to fix it until a days later....and to top it all off they took humiliating pictures of me playing naked. Although I loved the naked part. I am looking forward to summer time when it will be warm enough for me to play naked more often.

Presents!

What a fun birthday I had. After everybody left we opened up my gifts! I got lots of new books and toys. Lucy still thinks that all stuffed animals belong to her so I have to keep them safe in my room so she doesn't steal them and bring them out to the back yard like she does with all our socks.

1st Birthday!

I just celebrated my first Birthday!! I turned 1 years old on January 14th.  I had a very special day because Daddy stayed home from work to be with me. He took me all over town, we went swimming and we went on a long stroller ride and played and picked out books at the book store. I love him SO much! And the next day we had a party and ate cupcakes! Lots of Mommy and Daddy's pals came over and of course Aunt Lindsay and Uncle Dylan and my Nana. Aunt Lindsay knitted me a hat - she had never knitted anything before so we are all very impressed! Also I got a year membership to the ZOO from my Aunt Mollie and Aunt Bonnie and Aunt Lindsay and Uncle Dylan. That is the best present ever because the animals really like it when I visit them. Daddy got me a fish tank so I can have my very own fish! I hope he takes good care of them for me! Back to my party - I was a little overwhelmed when I sat in my seat and all these people were staring at me so I started to cry. But soon I felt better and tried my cupcake. It was OK, I liked the fresh fruit more. Maybe next year I will be more interested in my cake. After the spot light was off me I had much more fun just hanging out and playing the rest of the day.

Christmas Holiday

Wow! it has been so long since Mommy has had time to post! So much has changed since last time....I moved to a new home, Aunt Bonnie visited for a few weeks, Yaya & Beeba came for a long time and took care of me every day, Aunt Lindsay made me a stocking for my first Christmas and on Christmas day I got so many presents that I am very grateful for. I am starting to test my skills at walking. I am very good with the walkers, and by myself I can stand for a very long time keeping my balance. Mostly I just take one step sometimes two, and then I fall over :). I am an expert at climbing the stairs and Nana helped me learn how to climb down them safely. I say "Hi" and "No" on a regular basis but I am still learning "Mommy" and "Daddy". I really like our new house. I dont even remember the old one anymore. I had avery special first Christmas because I got to spend it with all my family who I love very much.
