Meal Time!

There have been lots of changes in my eating habits! I grew out of bottles and now I just drink milk! I am a very hungry hippo and can eat every couple hours. And I will eat ANYTHING!!! I eat raw onion, will suck on a lemon and maybe the only thing so far that I do not like are jalapenos. I have tried many new things: egg salad, mussels, fish, corn chowder, lima beans, pb&j, fish sticks, meats, fruits, veggies and pastas of every variety....I cant even think of everything! mmmmmmm

Girl Time!

Aunt Mollie came to visit for a week and it was a lot of fun to spend so much time with her. During the week she was here I learned to walk, give out kisses, sign "more" and I am sure there are other things I forgot. She took very good care of me! I wasn't feeling well for part of her stay so I was really lucky that I could stay home from daycare and have so much attention. Aunt Lindsay spent lots of time with us so I was spoiled rotten with love and kisses. It was freezing cold and snowy but we had a couple nice days....this day we went to the playground. I love the slides and am positive that I am a daredevil. I think I will really like roller coasters. I just need to grow tall enough to try them out.

Airing Out My Rash!

Mommy and Daddy were bad parents because I got a very bad rash and they didn't get the proper cream to fix it until a days later....and to top it all off they took humiliating pictures of me playing naked. Although I loved the naked part. I am looking forward to summer time when it will be warm enough for me to play naked more often.

Presents!

What a fun birthday I had. After everybody left we opened up my gifts! I got lots of new books and toys. Lucy still thinks that all stuffed animals belong to her so I have to keep them safe in my room so she doesn't steal them and bring them out to the back yard like she does with all our socks.

1st Birthday!

I just celebrated my first Birthday!! I turned 1 years old on January 14th.  I had a very special day because Daddy stayed home from work to be with me. He took me all over town, we went swimming and we went on a long stroller ride and played and picked out books at the book store. I love him SO much! And the next day we had a party and ate cupcakes! Lots of Mommy and Daddy's pals came over and of course Aunt Lindsay and Uncle Dylan and my Nana. Aunt Lindsay knitted me a hat - she had never knitted anything before so we are all very impressed! Also I got a year membership to the ZOO from my Aunt Mollie and Aunt Bonnie and Aunt Lindsay and Uncle Dylan. That is the best present ever because the animals really like it when I visit them. Daddy got me a fish tank so I can have my very own fish! I hope he takes good care of them for me! Back to my party - I was a little overwhelmed when I sat in my seat and all these people were staring at me so I started to cry. But soon I felt better and tried my cupcake. It was OK, I liked the fresh fruit more. Maybe next year I will be more interested in my cake. After the spot light was off me I had much more fun just hanging out and playing the rest of the day.

Christmas Holiday

Wow! it has been so long since Mommy has had time to post! So much has changed since last time....I moved to a new home, Aunt Bonnie visited for a few weeks, Yaya & Beeba came for a long time and took care of me every day, Aunt Lindsay made me a stocking for my first Christmas and on Christmas day I got so many presents that I am very grateful for. I am starting to test my skills at walking. I am very good with the walkers, and by myself I can stand for a very long time keeping my balance. Mostly I just take one step sometimes two, and then I fall over :). I am an expert at climbing the stairs and Nana helped me learn how to climb down them safely. I say "Hi" and "No" on a regular basis but I am still learning "Mommy" and "Daddy". I really like our new house. I dont even remember the old one anymore. I had avery special first Christmas because I got to spend it with all my family who I love very much.

Thanksgiving 2010

Last week was my first Thanksgiving! It was a great day. Daddy stayed home from work and Uncle Dylan and Aunt Lindsay came over and we cooked up a storm!! I helped by getting all the bowls out for cooking. I ate turkey and stuffing and mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce (although I am not sure I like that) and I have been eating leftovers everyday since. It was very yummy!! The day after Thanksgiving Mommy & Daddy had to work and so I spent the day with Uncle Dylan and Aunt Lindsay. We swang on the swings, we went to the Butterfly Pavilion and there was much to see there. Butterflies, Bees, Fish and much more. It was a great time.

Busy Bee

My goodness I have been busy. Mommy has been packing and now there are so many new places for me to explore!! I have been crawling into cabinets, sledding on cookie sheets, baking banana bread and swinging at the park. As far as what's new - my top two teeth are coming in now and I am standing by myself for longer and longer periods of time! I am really growing up.  

Play Time!!

This morning we met Aunt Lindsay and Allie and Charlie and Bailey at the children's gym. I had never been before, but I think I will go back there every day if I can. I had so much fun - there was so much to climb on and lots of other kiddos running around. It was pretty close to my new house so that will be perfect! 

Today we went over to the new house and met our future neighbors. My neighbors are two twin 13 year old girls. They have an in ground pool and said I can come swimming any day! They also look like they will be great baby sitters. They said that in the other house next door there is a woman that is 4 months pregnant with her first baby, so maybe that baby will play with me next year. I definately think that my new neighbors will be much more fun than the neighbors I have now.

In other news, I recently had my 9 month check up. I am 9 and a half months now, so we were a little late. I am 28" tall, I weigh 20lbs, and my head is 17.25". I am on the 90th% for weight, 50th% for head, and 60th% for height. I used to be in the 90th% for height, but I guess I have stopped growing up and am focusing more on growing out. My top two teeth are going to come in soon. You can see that my gums are swollen - maybe by Christmas. I hold onto things so I can stand, sometimes I let go and stand with no hands for a few seconds to show off. I can walk if I can push things I am holding onto - like a walker....but mostly I just stand or crawl or dance. I can eat any food now - berries, peanut butter, meats...everything except for milk. So I have been trying lots of new things and feeding myself with my fingers. I miss my mouth a lot and make a big mess but Lucy sits under me and cleans up what I drop. I am also sleeping through the night now. Mommy and Daddy figured out that if they would just leave me alone and stop coming in my room that I would sleep through. I tried to tell them, but they decided to try months of no sleep first. They are happy they finally figured that out.

Happy Halloween!

For Halloween I dressed up as a cute baby cow. We were supposed to go to a party with other families but I found out that I have 2 ear infections and wasn't feeling up to it so I helped hand out candy instead. We had lots of visitors! I hope next year I feel better so I can go to the dress up Halloween party and that I am big enough to go trick or treating.
